THE CITY IS PREPARING FOR FITO!
We are happy to announce the 9th edition of the Oradea International Theater Festival - 𝐅𝐈𝐓𝐎, which will take place between 𝟏 - 𝟗 𝟗𝟐 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒.
And this year FITO will include three large sections: the COMPETITION section - SHORT THEATER FESTIVAL, the only event dedicated to the one-act play in Romania, which has reached its 27th edition, the INVITED PERFORMANCES - OFF COMPETITION section and the OUTDOOR, but also many other exciting related events!
FITO 2024 PROGRAM:
The selection jury of the Short Theater Festival, due to the large number of entries to the festival, decided to extend the deliberation period until the date of April 8, 2024, when the official selection of the competition section of the Oradea International Theater Festival (FITO) will be announced.
Short Theater Festival is a unique cultural manifestation in the Romanian theatrical landscape, with a longevity that is hard to match, the first edition taking place in 1976. Until 2013, when the FITO macrostructure was created, it functioned as an independent festival. Since 2013, it has become the main section of the Oradea International Theater Festival and has a competitive character.

The Regina Maria Theater in Oradea announces the start of registrations for the 27th edition of the Short Theater Festival, which will take place during June 1-9, 2024.
Performances eligible for selection in the festival must fall within the specifics of the short theater festival (not to exceed 90 minutes; no intermission).
The application period is open between January 22, 2024 – March 22, 2024, with the list of performances announced for the festival to be announced on 1 April.
