Short Theater Festival
Between November 23-29, 1976, the theater management made the happy decision to enter the national circuit with a short theater festival. Thus, the first edition of the Short Theater Festival takes place, made with the support of the Culture Inspectorate and the magazine Familia. Entitled "Short Theater Week", the festival set out from its inaugural edition to define and delimit this theatrical genre, at the same time succeeding in bringing together outstanding performances and renowned directors from all over the country.
Starting with the 6th edition in 1984, the Festival increases its scope, turning into an international competition. Every year the festival grows in value, becoming a prestigious brand in the national theatrical landscape during the editions.
