Alex, a world-renowned American doctor, returns to his hometown, located somewhere on the Black Sea coast of Bulgaria, from which he fled 40 years ago. In the tavern where he spent the best years of his youth, he meets his ex-girlfriend, Elena. In order not to be disturbed by other customers, Alex asks the owner to close the place. Left alone, the two begin to depend on their memories. Witnesses to the whole story are the owner of the pub, a young man who inherited this restaurant from his father, and his girlfriend, an energetic and ambitious young woman who wants to emigrate to America together with the one of her heart. Two couples, two stories, same questions... no answers.
