ANNIVERSARY is a contemporary Dutch text, the playwright - Jeroen Van Den Berg - being a "basic" director, directing teacher and successful playwright. The story is extremely tough, very alive, very current. The text "speaks" in our language, today's language.... it's a powerful life story and I think many viewers will find themselves - either in one of the five characters, or in acquaintances, friends who are going through or have gone through situations like those in the show.

It's a story that will certainly move you, it's a "dark" comedy, or if you want, a drama with comedic moments. The show talks about a completely dysfunctional family, which lives in lies, in hypocrisy, lives covered by pretense.

The anniversary of a birthday creates the framework for breaking down this hypocrisy and revealing the true dysfunction within the family. A dysfunction that, unfortunately, is also found in the lives of many families around us.
The show participated in the BiTEi Festival in Chisinau on June 2, 2016.
