BLUE. YELLOW. RED
Putting aside the barrier of inhibition in front of what the oppressive system in Romania meant before '89, we descend into a painful poetic density about the beauties of the clichéd homeland, about the sarcastic arc of the fence of freedoms, of words spoken in whispers.
Life is seen through the eyes of the little girl Ela in an atlas with the beauties of the country. An artificial life, where communication has been blocked. She, Ela, He extract their sap from a security file. They are "prototypes" of a dark period in our history, destinies that will survive thanks to the recovered archives.
The jump from childhood to adulthood is instantaneous. The balance is on a knife edge. The terror present in the imaginary takes concrete form, stopping any aspiration for happiness. Innocence cannot be taken away, however, remaining hidden in a corner always assaulted by the unforgiving cruelty of reality.
