truth it is, first and foremost, a story about lies. Florian Zeller, the author of the play, chose to talk about life's most often uncomfortable situations, using the tools of comedy, sparkling lines and false clichés. It's a very simple story about an infidel in a world of infidels, a liar in a world of liars. The main character, as effeminate as he is talkative, is obsessed - the pinnacle - with the truth. But it's a bit like life: his obsession is superficial, and the word interests him much more than the meaning, than the role, than its uses. The adventures of this liar, who is deceived by everyone around him, make the Truth a thrilling game of mirrors where the lie itself is the favorite toy.
