Oradea International Theater Festival 2024. Prizes and winners of the 27th edition of the Short Theater Festival
The 9th edition of the Oradea International Theater Festival has come to an end after 9 intense days of theater! We enjoyed an excellent and rich selection of performances, concerts, related cultural events and beautiful artistic encounters.
This year the festival included three large sections:
- INVITED PERFORMANCES - OFF COMPETITION, a section dedicated to the people of Oradea, which aims to bring to the audience large productions, which are among the best productions in the theater today.
- The OUTDOOR section – which aims to turn the street into a big stage and give passers-by a bit of the magic of the theatre. All outdoor events were free this year. The project was carried out with the support of the Oradea Municipality and the Oradea Local Council.
- The competition section – SHORT THEATER FESTIVAL, reached its XXVII edition this year. 18 performances from theaters in the country and abroad competed for the five prizes awarded by the jury: the prize for the best actress, the prize for the best actor, the prize for the best director, the prize for the best show and the prize for the better scenography.
The selection was made by the Management of the Regina Maria Theater, with special thanks to the director of the Iosif Vulcan Troupe Victoria Balint and the manager of the Regina Maria Theater Daniel Vulcu, and the jury was formed by three personalities from the theater world, namely: the director Bobi Pricop, the scenographer Irina Moscu and actress Cosmina Stratan.
