In the year of the celebration of the 170th anniversary of the birth of the great Romanian playwright, Ada Milea plays in an original way with the now classic characters of the ridiculous Romanian political class, not denying her always inventive and explosive style, which finds the perfect key to the Caragialesque sarcasm . The characters are more alive than ever, impossibly more current and worthy of IL Caragiale's deeply critical eye, but also of bitter laughter. The eternal party interests, above any civic or moral sense, the passionate behind-the-scenes dramas, the always excusable sneaks and servitude to those in power, the stupid patriotism, but also the foolish naivety and the permanent state of intoxication that erases even the last chances of thinking clear sense of the common man, they all compose a fabulous score and a monstrously comic panorama of a society that has not been carried away since the 19th century.
