A father dulled by work and the poor environment in which he grew up. A son longing for his father's affection, unable to give it as he would need it. Who killed dad? tells the story of a tumultuous father-son relationship marked by themes of community, compassion and toxic masculinity. The text is a dramatization of the homonymous novel written by the French author Édouard Louis, a novel declared to have a strongly autobiographical component.

"Who Killed Dad?", the autobiographical novel by Édouard Louis, is a letter that does not find an answer, it is the violent howl of a son to his father. The author slaloms, at hallucinatory speeds, through his own past, in sensitive areas of intimacy and trauma. A bestseller, enjoying multiple translations and adaptations, Who Killed Dad? probes personal history from a political-philosophical perspective. Intimate stories have the charge of critical reflections. We set the action in a gym (designed by Adrian Balcău), a place of obsession with the body. This meta-space is specific to the dynamism of the son's stories, contrasting with the immobility of the father. (…) The performance is a shocking ode dedicated to the father, left without the right of appeal. Shame, violence and precariousness are catalysts for the arc of tension between a father condemned to repeat the lives of the men in his family and a son who has become a writer. Everything seems to separate them. The author misses the present, but his great privilege is to have known life without privileges. To this early existence, in the territories prone to failure, he returns obsessively. The cup of his suffering is drunk in small sips." – Andrei Măjeri, the director of the show
