Gardenia captures four generations of women in the same family grappling with behavioral patterns, constraints and genetic inheritance. They all tell their story at the same age, 33, and go through the upheavals of history from the Second World War to the present day. The circumstances of the weather partly condition their destiny, but the one who directly influences them, they would say, is the mother. To what extent this happens, we leave it to you to discover for yourself.
