The first days of the Oradea International Theater Festival 2018 edition

Category:

One of the most anticipated cultural events in Oradea has begun: the Oradea International Theater Festival, which reached its 6th edition this year. The first day of the festival ended with roars of applause and much enthusiasm from everyone who crossed the threshold of the theater.

The second day, September 24, offers an equally rich theatrical offer. It starts with a show dedicated to young people, especially teenagers: "NOI NU!", presented by the "Aureliu Manea" Theater in Turda, from 5:00 p.m., at Sala Arcadia, which is part of the section WITH YOUNG PEOPLE, FOR YOUNG PEOPLE – Romania after 100 years. The day will continue with a challenge for the young spectators, namely, after the performance "NOI NU!" they are invited to a discussion with the actors and the director of the show, where two of the most active can each win a pack of cards carefully chosen by the Humanitas booksellers.

At the Great Hall, from 19:00, you will be able to applaud the actress Maia Morgenstern in a stirring one-woman show: "A lesson in good manners". But not before stopping by the Humanitas book stand, which will greet you in the foyer at the entrance to the theater.

In the evening, from 21:30, at Sala Studio Szigligeti, the Apollo 111 Theater presents one of the most powerful texts written by a Romanian author in the last decade: "Pulverizare". Both the show "A lesson in good manners" and the show "Pulverizare" are part of the competition section - Short Theater Festival.

The day of September 25 brings three shows in the competition and one outdoors! The first show starts at 17:00, in the Great Hall and is proposed by the "Mihai Eminescu" Theater from Botoșani: "Zeul Măcelului", a comedy that grabs you and keeps you hooked until the end. From 19:00 in the Great Hall (with the audience on stage) "The Beauty Queen of Leenane" will take us far away on the chilly shores of a primitive, raw, cold and wild Ireland. Before entering the show in the Great Hall, don't forget to stop by the Humanitas book stand!

From 21:00, we offer the public two shows: "Gardenia", presented by the Odeon Theater in Bucharest, which is played at the House of Culture of the Trade Unions with the audience on stage, and "Miorița", presented by Auăleu Teatru in Timișoara in Piața Unirii . The entrance to the "Miorița" performance is free, but near the stage you will find the donation box for the reconstruction of the Greek-Catholic Episcopal Palace. Those who want to get involved in the rehabilitation of a significant monument for Oradea, can donate, the amount collected to be transferred to the accounts of the Greek-Catholic Episcopate United with Rome of Oradea.

The Oradea International Theater Festival is organized by the Regina Maria Theater, in partnership with the Bihor County Council, the Oradea City Hall, the FITO Cultural Foundation and UNITER.
