Avalanche it is a story about fear, but also about past and future, conservative tradition and changing mentalities. Tuncer Cücenoğlu imagined an anxious and symbolic history: in a community with strict rules a person can be killed if he endangers the lives of others. The law according to which death is avoided by death provokes other questions: about social morality, about being frozen in tradition, about the aspiration to a free and unconstrained life. That's the plot here, but the theme can reverberate much further, even towards the convulsive realities of today's civilization…
