A SUPER Happy Story (about what it's like to be super sad) is a multi-award winning musical written by Jon Brittain that explores the heartwarming story of Sara Toma. With humor and sensitivity, the show reveals the complex and disturbing reality of struggling with depression, which often hides behind "happy masks." Through engaging music and dialogue, the audience is invited to reflect on the ephemeral nature of happiness and the complexity of human emotions.
"In a society where happiness seems to be the ultimate object, our story bravely and honestly explores less obvious aspects of our sadness – the complexity of sadness, but also a celebration of resilience and the human power to face adversity." (Horia Suru)
