The official selection of the INTERNATIONAL THEATER FESTIVAL – 2019 edition


The Regina Maria Theatre, in partnership with the FITO Cultural Foundation, with the support of the Bihor County Council and the Oradea City Hall, is very pleased to announce the 7th edition of the Oradea International Theater Festival, which will take place during 2 – 9 June 2019.

The shows that will be part of this year's edition a  of the Oradea International Theater Festival are the following*:

1.      THE SOUND OF MUSIC, music by RICHARD RODGERS, lyrics by OSCAR HAMMERSTEIN II, libretto by HOWARD LINDSAY and RUSSEL CROUSE based on the novel "The Trapp family singers" by Maria Augusta Trapp - Queen Maria Theater Oradea

2.      LAST NIGHT IN MADRID, by Brian Mcavera, directed by Vitali Drucec – National Theater "Eugene Ionesco" Chisinau, Moldova

3.      OSCAR AND TANTI ROZ, by Éric Emmanuel-Schmitt, directed by Petru Vutcarau – National Theater "Eugene Ionesco" Chisinau, Moldova

4.      BRUTUS or THE ASSASSINATION OF JULIUS CAESAR by Tüncer Cucenoğlu, directed by Irakli Gogia – Tbilisi Sandro Akhmeteli State Drama Theatre, Georgia

5.      BEFORE BREAKFAST, by Eugene O`Neil, stage version and direction: Andrei and Andreea Grosu – Theater "Maria Filotti" Brăila
