IT SEEMED TO ME
MISAPĂRUT starts from the media scandal related to the Spiritual Integration Movement in Absolut and its relationship with the judiciary in Romania.
From the extremely complex story surrounding MISA, the creators of MISAPĂRUT chose to talk mainly about the most personal aspects, about how the scandal affected the people who practice yoga at the MISA school, especially a young woman who was hospitalized with force in psychiatry because of its association with the yogic group.
In the end, instead of conclusions, questions remain: what is normal? How dangerous is the press in search of scandal at any cost? What legacy in attitude and thinking has been left to us from the communist regime? How much value do we place on individual freedom versus tradition? What happens when morality is confused with the law?
"Exercises of democracy. Investigating recent history" is a cultural project of the Social Reactor platform, financed by the Administration of the National Cultural Fund, the City Hall and the Local Council of Cluj-Napoca and the Cluj County Council.
The project does not necessarily represent the position of the National Cultural Fund Administration. AFCN is not responsible for the content of the project or how the results of the project may be used. These are entirely the responsibility of the beneficiary of the funding.
