IN THE HEART OF THE NIGHT – THE LEAR EPISODE starts from the subject of the Shakespearean text: a king wants to abdicate and divide his kingdom among his three daughters, but before making any decision he asks them to express his love for him. Following the evidence of affection, he decides to banish his youngest daughter, disturbed by the sincerity and naturalness of the confession. But he is rejected by his eldest daughters and, with his mind troubled by suffering, ends up wandering at random.

But, even if EPISODE LEAR starts from the actions suggested by the Shakespearean play, the text enjoys a modern rewriting, and the show a contemporary directorial and scenographic approach, exploring the area of the symbolic imaginary and revealing the main fears and anxieties of the current world.
